Buttons

Buttons is like a big woolly golden Labrador.

Buttons was saved along with his mother and brother Homer by all the kind Saint Beans supporters who donated to the Save the Lambs fundraiser in 2019. He was sponsored by the kind hearted supporter Alexandra Bonsor. She named him Buttons which perfectly matches his happy-go-lucky personality.

After moving to Saint Beans Buttons didn't know what to make of the friendly human he saw everyday. It didn't take him long though and he was the first in his family to trust the human. One wool rub a couple of weeks after he joined Saint Beans was all it took.

Carefree and Happy

Buttons is outgoing while his smaller twin brother Homer is introverted. His calm nature has meant he’s been a wonderful big brother to Homer. He’s quite a lot bigger than Homer but he rarely uses his size against him. He could easily out tussle him but if a play tussle breaks out and Homer pushes his luck Buttons will often just let him win.

Buttons has a kind nature and he’s been a wonderful brother to his brother Homer

Buttons has probably been the most trouble free of all the woolies. He’s never had a health problem, he’s not accident prone like our boy Frosty, and he’s not interested in causing any trouble even when it comes to pellets! Like all the woolies he's had an infected hoof before but he's never had a bad limp.

Family and Wool Hats

Now that Buttons is fully grown his bond with his brother and mother hasn’t faded like many will lead you to believe. They have been given the space to follow their natural instinct and their bond is as strong as ever. If Buttons ever gets separated from Homer or Belle he immediately panics and won’t rest until he finds them.

Buttons loves to wear wool hats from September to December when he sheds his winter coat. He happily stands still while his human takes photos. He adores wool rubs a little more than the others and if he doesn't get one he will dig at you with his hoof. Don’t wear anything good around Buttons because you might end up with mud pinstripes!
