Flora

Flora was the first lady to join the wooly gang.

For a long time it was Fanta, Frosty, and Beans then one morning a little ewe turned up. She was named Mystery Ewe and she was a bit confused why she was suddenly with three boys. You can see the very first video of her below. Technically Flora was lambnapped but don’t tell anyone! She was just too sweet to be in a farmers flock and she wanted to join Saint Beans so her human snuck her in one night.

Don’t worry, later on she was purchased and an adoption form was signed. Flora knew pretty quick she had lucked in and it wasn’t long before she was demanding pellets and wool rubs everyday.

Sweet but Sassy

It wasn't easy for a little ewe to join three bossy boys but she held herself well and soon she was an important part of the team. It took her no time at all to trust her new human and fall in love with pellets and wool brushes. She has a lovely fluffy coat which is perfect for wool brushes but she only likes a particular brush. Bring the wrong brush and she runs off!

Flora likes to apply mud makeup all over her body and even her face. Sometimes she applies so much she almost looks like a little brown bear (see video below). Maybe she knows her human will come along and brush it out.

Technically Flora was lambnapped but don’t tell anyone! She was just too sweet to be in a farmers flock and she wanted to join Saint Beans.

Flora sure has a sassy personality and if she wants something she doesn’t quit until she gets it. She has mastered the art of breaking into the hay barn and getting pellets when the others are distracted. She is also extremely sweet, trusting, affectionate, and charming. If she was a cat she would purr at the drop of a hat. Flora just loves it when her human pays her attention but gets very sassy when it comes to hoof trimming or if she feels cheated out of pellets.

Daisy and Lily

Flora was very determined to have lambs but we only rescue and don’t breed at Saint Beans. Every space is precious and should go to those in need. Flora wasn’t going to take no for answer though and one night she got through two fences and broke into a neighbouring paddock with a ram! That’s not easy! The next morning her human was in a panic when he couldn’t find her. Finally when she was found her she was ready to come home but it was too late, Flora had gotten herself pregnant!!!

Five months later Flora gave birth to twin lambs under the best rainbow of 2020! Incredible. Flora was a little overwhelmed for the first few weeks, she wasn't quite prepared for two very confident and boisterous girls. Despite getting pellets she also lost quite a lot of weight. Once she got the hang of it though she was a fantastic and patient mother. Daisy, Lily, and Flora will get to stay together forever.

Flora has very distinctive wavy ears. Daisy and Lily did not inherit them so they are unique to Flora.
