Frosty

Frosty had it all. A lovely mother and a twin brother.

Frosty had a great start, he had a lovely mother called Flo and a twin brother called Fizz. Frosty’s mother was a backyard yard pet lamb and when she had Frosty and Fizz she blossomed into a nervous but loving first time mother.

Frosty only had a short time with his mother unfortunately. One morning when Frosty was only a few weeks old the saddest sight you can imagine was found. Flo had passed away overnight and two very confused lambs were standing next to her waiting for her to get up 😭😭😭.

Poor Frosty

Poor Frosty and Fizz had to be taken because they needed a drink immediately. They were moved into a yard with Beans and Flo’s body came so they could see their mother. Beans was happy to have some friends but Frosty was upset and very confused. At first Frosty refused to bottle feed so he had to be forced. After 2 or 3 drinks he got the hang of it though.

Poor Frosty lost his mother and then his brother when he was only a few weeks old

The next morning Frosty’s brother Fizz was very sick and needed help. His little belly had reacted very badly to bottled milk. Later on that day poor Fizz passed away when medication was incorrectly administered 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭. A truely terrible end to a heart breaking week.

Frosty's New Life

The silver lining was the fact that Beans needed a friend and so did Frosty. Beans and Frosty bonded very quickly and became best friends. Frosty quickly adjusted to his new life running around the garden with Beans and he became very fond of his human and his new BFF. Frosty’s personalty began to shine though. He is more introverted and shy than Beans. He was happy to always follow Beans and let him led the way.

Gentle, calm, and very sweet are Frosty’s traits. When challenged though it turns out that the shy one is a mean tussler! Frosty really knows how to use his weight so if a play tussle ever gets more serious watch out. Beans learned to back off as soon as Frosty’s ears popped up — a sure sign things are escalating!

When Frosty was a lamb he was quite vocal and would raise a baaaaa alert if anything was wrong (see video above to hear Frosty). Today though Frosty has grown into a lovely sweet natured, gentle giant who rarely makes a peep. Unlike most Frosty likes to be last instead of first and he is often found sitting off on his own like Ferdinand the bull. He loves wool rubs and demands them daily especially when he's shedding.

“Losing a loved one is hard but somehow we pick ourselves up and carry on”
